Onward, Ever Onward

Time is flying fast for Elder Hoggan in Kaufbeuren. He had another super cool week!

The Elders were able to meet with Temple on Wednesday and he is doing really well. His lesson was on the Plan of Salvation and then baptism was discussed. Temple has been baptized in Africa by immersion and is having a hard time understanding authority. As he reads in the Book of Mormon, his testimony will grow. Temple made it to church again on Sunday. The last session of General Conference was shown, because it isn't available live. Elder Hoggan translated for Temple and found D. Todd Christofferson's talk very difficult to put into German. Progress is being made and church was really enjoyable.

Daniela's appointment fell through. The missionaries haven't been able to get in contact with her, but are still trying. When she didn't show up, Elders Hoggan and Evans emailed other investigators. Frau Luz stays in contact. She lives in Ingolstadt and an exchange is planned for next week there. Hopefully Elder Hoggan can meet with her and visit with Victor :) That would be amazing and he is looking forward to next week!!!!

A goal was made on Thursday to give out two books of Mormon. Elder Hoggan packed an English book, just in case. The Elders live near Temple and walk past his house often. Temple has a lot of brothers he lives with and one was sitting in a lawn chair out front. He accepted a Book of Mormon and a younger man, Manuel, did as well. Hopefully they can both meet again this week. The work is going forward!

A large part of the week was spent meeting with LA's. Cookies were made and delivered. It was a cool experience and great conversations occurred. One was with the Familie Adam. Sister Adam lived in Oakland, California and used to be an active member of the church. She would attend her meetings and the temple weekly, but has now moved to Germany and her health is holding her back. She's recovering from cancer, but has a lot of potential when she feels better :)
