What a crazy week! It went by fast and consolidating everything into one email is not possible. Next week will be crazy busy, too.
Monday was super cool. Got to go to Munich for a conference the following day. At the train station, a member posed as an investigator and said that he had dreamed about the missionaries. Silly members. This man gave Elders Hoggan and Evans a free tour of the entire Marienplatz which helped the Elders learn a lot about Munich. Then they ate at a chinese buffet for dinner and slept at the mission home. The Rosenheim Elders were there and a ton of missionaries.
Elder Evans of the Seventy spoke to the Munich Zone. He was so amazing! He asked who had gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon by reading it cover to cover and who had gained one by reading only parts. Jumping around the book is not how it's done. Sometimes the missionaries challenge investigators to read a few chapters here and there to answer any questions. Elder Eyring was asked how much of the Book of Mormon should be read daily. He replied, " Read until you feel the Spirit of the Lord and then a little bit more. Elder Evans also spoke on hastening the work and how it is moving forward.
Tuesday got better for Elder Hoggan. He got to go on an exchange to Ingolstadt and returned to his mission birth area. He had hoped to meet up with Victor, but it didn't work out. Maybe next time. He visited with others he had taught and one of them still would like to meet with the missionaries! Come cool people were also found that day that might begin having the discussions in the future.
Daniela, an investigator, is super open and cool. She has her doubts, but loves the Book of Mormon. The Elders were teaching her in a restaurant on Thursday when her friend walked in. He sat with them and she gave him a Book of Mormon and told him is was a cool book. he wasn't going to, but Daniela persuaded him.
Saturday was a finding day. An area previously chosen, was changed due to a bad feeling about it. Something was wrong. Elders Hoggan and Evans took more time to ponder and then they realized that Easter is celebrated for three days in Germany. They decided to paint Easter eggs and deliver them to LA's, members, and investigators. Everyone loved them! Painting a ton of eggs worked out so well. Members invited the Elders over for Pday yesterday and this brought back memories of dying eggs at Grandpa and Grandma Turner's house.
Choco bunnies, a fancy German cake, Easter eating appointments, and delivering all of the eggs to tons of people kept these two Elders very busy. Emailing home was done on Tuesday instead of Monday (yesterday).
A video was sent last week and shared with many online. President Miles encouraged the missionaries to spread it to family and friends. It is Because of Him at mormon.org. This portrays the perfect Easter message of our Savior and Redeemers mission on earth, His Atonement, and His Resurrection.
